On October 13th 2023, a delegation of 17 people led by Li Hu, the Vice Dean of the College of Plant Protection of China Agricultural University, visited our college. The Dean of our college, Hu Xiaoping, the Vice Dean, Ma Zhiqing, and outstanding representatives of young faculties attended the symposium and exchanged ideas.

Hu Xiaoping said that the two colleges have established deep friendship over a long period, and we should continuously expand the fields of exchange and cooperation. He hoped that the two colleges would further strengthen the close ties, carry out regular academic exchanges and other activities, comprehensively improve the level of cooperation, and work together to contribute to the development of Plant Protection, national food security and ecological security. Li Hu said that he hoped that the two sides could strengthen cooperation, establish a long-term communication linkage mechanism, make full use of our respective advantages, accelerate the research collaboration, and achieve greater contribution to the development of our country.

During the meeting, the participating young faculties exchanged their opinions on academic experience and research direction, further enhancing understanding and laying a solid foundation for mutual trust and assistance between young faculties from both sides.

At last, Prof. Wu Xuehong, Chair of the Innovation Alliance for Teaching in Plant Protection Specialties, expressed his gratitude to our college for the careful preparation and hosting the 3rd National Plant Protection Competition for College Students. He looked forward to the joint efforts of both parties to broaden the career path for young talents, increase more exchanges, establish deeper emotional bonds, and work together to build more platforms for the discipline development and talent cultivation.

During the visit, the delegation also visited the Insect Museum and the Expo Garden of NWAFU.
