Mark gijzen:Adjunct Professor, University of Western Ontario,;Senior Editor, Molecular Plant Microbe Interactions.
Molecular plant pathology and plant molecular biology; the application of modern methods of molecular genetic analysis to discover associations between genes and traits; the construction and sampling of cDNA libraries for expressed sequence tags; transcript profiling using microarrays; identification of genes by map-based approaches; biochemical characterization of protein toxins and elicitors; genomics.
Disease Resistance - Root rot caused by Phytophthora sojae is a serious and ongoing disease problem for Canadian soybean growers. Research efforts concentrate on identifying pathogen factors that determine host range and virulence.
Soybean Seed Quality - Seed quality characteristics affect the value and utilization of the crop and are important to importers, crushers, processors, seed dealers, and consumers of soy-based products. Our research focuses specifically on quality traits that are determined by the seed coat and pericarp tissues.

王源超:教授,,博士生導(dǎo)師。主要研究方向有:(1)卵菌分子遺傳學,特別是大豆疫霉菌致病過程和大豆抗感病過程的功能基因組學,;(2)疫霉菌的分類進化以及遺傳多樣性(3)重要植物病原真菌的快速分子檢測、監(jiān)測與病害診斷技術(shù);(4)外來入侵生物學。主持多項省部級課題,獲國家科技發(fā)明專利4項,,2004年度教育部“新世紀優(yōu)秀人才支持計劃”,;2004年度江蘇省青藍工程優(yōu)秀青年骨干教師;1999年度農(nóng)業(yè)部科技進步二等獎,,疫霉菌生殖生物學與抗藥性研究,,(2/5);2005年度教育部提名國家自然科學二等獎,,疫霉菌多樣性及其產(chǎn)生機制(2/7)
